Los arquitectos, Enric Batle y Joan Roig han recibido el galard\u00f3n en la categor\u00eda de \u00abEnerg\u00eda, Residuos y Reciclaje\u00bb. El jurado, presidido por Norman Foster, premi\u00f3 a 17 proyectos, elegidos entre m\u00e1s de 200 de 63 pa\u00edses, en distintas categor\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto consiste en la recuperaci\u00f3n del vertedero del Garraf, el m\u00e1s grande de Espa\u00f1a, para devolver a la vida un entorno deteriorado y contaminado. Adem\u00e1s de una recuperaci\u00f3n est\u00e9tica, el proyecto cuenta con un sistema de drenaje de aguas subterr\u00e1neo, filtros para descontaminar los l\u00edquidos residuales y un sistema de aprovechamiento de biog\u00e1s a partir del cual se obtiene energ\u00eda. La idea era hacer que el lugar en el que hay m\u00e1s de 20 millones de toneladas de residuos fuera un lugar bonito y agradable adem\u00e1s de ser sostenible. El proyecto comenz\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 2002 y se terminar\u00e1 sobre el 2010, fecha en la que se habr\u00e1 actuado sobre m\u00e1s de 60 hect\u00e1reas.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
