Su principal aplicaci\u00f3n es la climatizaci\u00f3n de edificios. Conforme se profundiza en el terreno, su temperatura se estabiliza en torno a los 15 grados, independientemente de la temperatura exterior. Introduciendo tuber\u00edas hasta los 150 metros de profundidad, una bomba de calor geot\u00e9rmica transmite el calor del suelo al edificio en modo calefacci\u00f3n o calor del edificio al terreno en modo refrigeraci\u00f3n, seg\u00fan el gradiente.<\/p>\n<p>La ausencia de combusti\u00f3n en el proceso y su alta eficiencia energ\u00e9tica hacen de este sistema de climatizaci\u00f3n el de menor generaci\u00f3n de di\u00f3xido de carbono.
