Un total de 16,8 millones de pasajeros han pasado por Heathrow<\/a> en lo que llevamos de a\u00f1o, un 2.6% m\u00e1s que el a\u00f1o pasado gracias, en parte, a la fuerte actividad generada en Semana Santa. Tambi\u00e9n se han registrado buenos resultados en la calidad del servicio al pasajero obteniendo una puntuaci\u00f3n de 4,12 sobre 5 en el \u00faltimo ASQ (Airport Service Quality por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), lo que permite al aeropuerto mantener su estatus como el hub europeo preferido por los usuarios, por delante de aeropuertos como el de Amsterdam y Gatwick<\/a>. Adem\u00e1s, el 77% de los empleados del aeropuerto consideran a Heathrow como un buen lugar para trabajar.<\/p>\n

Este buen rendimiento es com\u00fan a las distintas \u00e1reas operativas del aeropuerto. Adem\u00e1s de ofrecer un mejor servicio, Heathrow est\u00e1 reduciendo los costes e incrementando el valor aportado a sus pasajeros y aerol\u00edneas. La \u00faltima aerol\u00ednea en trasladar sus operaciones de Gatwick a Heathrow ha sido Garuda Indonesia.<\/p>\n

Los altos niveles de servicio ofrecidos por el aeropuerto han sido reconocidos en los Skytrax Awards<\/a> que siguen reconociendo a Heathrow como Best airport in Western Europe, por segundo a\u00f1o consecutivo; Best airport for shopping por s\u00e9ptimo a\u00f1o consecutivo gracias a la calidad de la terminal, de sus tiendas y de sus restaurantes; y World Best Airport Terminal por quinto a\u00f1o consecutivo.
\nEn lo que respecta a los resultados financieros, las ventas han crecido un 3,2% llegando a los 642 millones de libras y el EBIDTA se sit\u00faa en 367 millones de libras, un 7,3% m\u00e1s que en el mismo periodo de 2015 derivado de una reducci\u00f3n de costes y del aumento de la eficiencia.<\/p>\n
