La compa\u00f1\u00eda, en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Instituto de Hidr\u00e1ulica Ambiental de la Universidad de Cantabria, ha desarrollado un sistema que permite identificar y evaluar los riesgos que entra\u00f1an los eventos climatol\u00f3gicos severos sobre cada tipo de infraestructura. De esta forma, es capaz de <strong>prevenir los efectos negativos que las nevadas, inundaciones, tormentas o sequ\u00edas<\/strong> pueden tener sobre sus proyectos en las fases de construcci\u00f3n, mantenimiento y operaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>En concreto, esta tecnolog\u00eda innovadora permite a Ferrovial obtener una estimaci\u00f3n preliminar del nivel de riesgo asociado a diversos escenarios en el corto, medio y largo plazo. Este <strong>diagn\u00f3stico<\/strong>, que tiene en cuenta factores como la peligrosidad, la exposici\u00f3n y la vulnerabilidad de la infraestructura, facilita la puesta en marcha de medidas de adaptaci\u00f3n, que minimicen cualquier tipo de impacto y aseguren la sostenibilidad y resiliencia de los proyectos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEsta nueva metodolog\u00eda no s\u00f3lo supone un avance en la gesti\u00f3n de riesgos y oportunidades del cambio clim\u00e1tico, sino que implica una ventaja competitiva para Ferrovial y sus clientes en su compromiso con la transici\u00f3n hacia una econom\u00eda sostenible\u201d, afirma Valent\u00edn Alfaya, director de Sostenibilidad de Ferrovial.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La sostenibilidad, elemento clave en la estrategia de Ferrovial<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Desde hace m\u00e1s de 12 a\u00f1os, Ferrovial ha situado la sostenibilidad como elemento central de su modelo de negocio. Muestra de ello es la Estrategia de Sostenibilidad 2030 de la compa\u00f1\u00eda, que cuenta con ambiciosos objetivos en dicha materia.<\/p>\n<p>Bajo esta perspectiva, uno de los grandes objetivos de la compa\u00f1\u00eda es descarbonizar los negocios actuales y desarrollar otros m\u00e1s sostenibles, reduciendo para 2030 las emisiones directas un 35,3% respecto al 2009. Adem\u00e1s, se persigue utilizar electricidad 100% renovable en 2025 y alcanzar la neutralidad clim\u00e1tica de cara a 2050.<\/p>\n<p>Con estas acciones, Ferrovial contin\u00faa alineando su estrategia con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) de Naciones Unidas y gestionando los riesgos y oportunidades asociados al cambio clim\u00e1tico para contribuir a un presente y un futuro m\u00e1s sostenibles.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
