El cierre de la transacci\u00f3n est\u00e1 previsto para el pr\u00f3ximo 24 de octubre, con la recepci\u00f3n de los fondos. Como consecuencia de la operaci\u00f3n,\u00a0<strong>Ferrovial pasa a ser titular indirecto de un 25% de HAH<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u0093Esta venta de nuestra participaci\u00f3n del capital de HAH se produce en el marco de la estrategia de diversificaci\u00f3n de las inversiones de Ferrovial. Tras esta operaci\u00f3n, mantenemos nuestro papel como primer accionista y socio industrial en HAH en el largo plazo\u0094, se\u00f1al\u00f3 \u00cd\u00f1igo Meir\u00e1s, Consejero Delegado de Ferrovial.<\/p>\n<p>Para Ferrovial, los fondos resultantes de la operaci\u00f3n le otorgan\u00a0<strong>gran flexibilidad para acometer inversiones en proyectos de infraestructuras y servicios<\/strong> dentro de su estrategia de expansi\u00f3n internacional.<\/p>\n<p>\u0093Nos complace la incorporaci\u00f3n de un fondo de pensiones brit\u00e1nico que complementa el grupo de inversores internacionales que ya forman parte de HAH. Inversores de largo plazo de la calidad de USS, fortalecen Heathrow, que ya cuenta con accionistas de Europa, Norteam\u00e9rica, Oriente Medio y Asia, incluyendo los fondos soberanos de Qatar, China y Singapur\u0094, concluy\u00f3 Meir\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<p>Fundado en 1975, USS es el principal fondo de pensiones brit\u00e1nico para universidades y otras instituciones educativas. Cuenta con m\u00e1s de 300.000 miembros en unas 400 instituciones. Con activos gestionados en todo el mundo por valor de unos 40.000 millones de libras, es uno de los mayores fondos de pensiones del Reino Unido. La transacci\u00f3n se ha realizado a trav\u00e9s de USS Investment Management Limited (USSIM), filial de USS y principal asesor y gestor de inversiones, que ser\u00e1 quien se haga cargo de su gesti\u00f3n en nombre de USS.<\/p>\n<p>Un consorcio integrado por Ferrovial adquiri\u00f3 BAA, ahora renombrada\u00a0<strong>Heathrow Airport Holdings<\/strong>, en junio de 2006. HAH es\u00a0<strong>propietaria de los aeropuertos de Heathrow en Londres; Glasgow y Aberdeen, en Escocia; y Southampton, en el sur de Inglaterra<\/strong>. Durante los primeros seis meses de 2013 el tr\u00e1fico en estos aeropuertos alcanz\u00f3 los 40,2 millones de pasajeros, un 2,2% m\u00e1s. Asimismo las ventas de HAH alcanzaron los 1.230 millones de libras con un crecimiento del 10,2%, siendo el EBITDA de 633 millones, lo que supone un incremento del 17,3%, todo ello en t\u00e9rminos
