{"id":753,"date":"2009-04-30T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-04-30T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/press_releases\/inigo-meiras-nuevo-director-general-grupo-ferrovial\/"},"modified":"2022-12-21T12:19:39","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T11:19:39","slug":"inigo-meiras-nuevo-director-general-grupo-ferrovial","status":"publish","type":"press_release","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/es\/notas-prensa\/inigo-meiras-nuevo-director-general-grupo-ferrovial\/","title":{"rendered":"I\u00f1igo Meir\u00e1s, nuevo Director General de Grupo Ferrovial"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p><strong>Madrid, 30 de abril de 2009.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Con la finalidad de configurar un proceso de sucesi\u00f3n en la primera l\u00ednea ejecutiva del Grupo, que se desarrolle de manera ordenada y procurando asegurar la continuidad y la mayor eficiencia en el funcionamiento de la organizaci\u00f3n, reforzando adem\u00e1s nuestra capacidad de gesti\u00f3n, ha explicado el presidente Rafael del Pino, \u201cel Consejo de Administraci\u00f3n ha acordado iniciar este periodo de transici\u00f3n.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>El nuevo Director General compatibilizar\u00e1 este cargo con sus responsabilidades como Consejero Delegado de Ferrovial Aeropuertos y vicepresidente de BAA, que ejerce desde mayo de 2007. <strong>Nacido en Madrid en 1963, de origen gallego, Meir\u00e1s es licenciado en Derecho por la Universidad Complutense y MBA por el Instituto de Empresa<\/strong>. Desde su incorporaci\u00f3n a Ferrovial en 1992, ha desempe\u00f1ado las funciones de director general de la Autopista del Sol y director de Autopistas de Cintra, hasta que en 2000 fue ascendido al Comit\u00e9 de Direcci\u00f3n como Consejero Delegado de Ferrovial Servicios para la creaci\u00f3n de esta Divisi\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n ha sido, entre otras funciones, vicepresidente de las filiales Swissport y Amey.<\/p>\n<p>En Ferrovial trabajamos para asegurar que los sucesores sean siempre aquellos mejor preparados. \u00c9ste es, sin duda, el camino para garantizar el futuro de la compa\u00f1\u00eda y, por supuesto, es el caso de I\u00f1igo Meir\u00e1s. Es un profundo conocedor de la casa, forjado por m\u00e9ritos propios a lo largo de los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os en los distintos negocios de la compa\u00f1\u00eda, ha concluido Joaqu\u00edn Ayuso, quien ha confirmado su intenci\u00f3n de permanecer ligado al Grupo, desde el Consejo de Administraci\u00f3n, una vez concluya este periodo de transici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
