Ferrovial appoints John L. Morton as CEO of the Airports division

Ferrovial has appointed John L. Morton as CEO of the Airports division, effective September 2026. He will succeed Luke Bugeja, who will retire from his role after more than five years of successful contribution to the company.

“I am pleased to welcome John to Ferrovial’s Management Committee. His extensive experience in transportation infrastructure, aviation, and public-private partnerships will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen Ferrovial Airports and deliver long-term value for our stakeholders,” said Ignacio Madridejos, CEO of Ferrovial. “I would also like to thank Luke for his leadership and dedication over the past five years and wish him all the best in his retirement.”

Prior to joining Ferrovial, John L. Morton was Managing Director of Global Infrastructure Partners (part of Blackrock), where he established and led the Transportation team in the Americas.  He also served as Director of Investment Banking for Credit Suisse in London and New York. Morton holds a B.A. in Psychology and a Certificate in Marketing and Management from Duke University and holds an MBA degree from the London Business School.

Luke Bugeja has committed to stay in the company until his retirement in November to support a smooth transition to John L. Morton.
