Ferrovial, a leading global infrastructure company, has been awarded a $537.9 million contract to deliver the Mary’s Creek Water Reclamation Facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The contract marks the company’s largest U.S. water infrastructure project to date. Once operational, the greenfield facility will process 10 million gallons of water per day and expand the region’s wastewater treatment capacity.
“As communities across Texas continue to grow, so does the need for reliable water infrastructure,” said Ignacio Gaston, Ferrovial Construction CEO. “We’re proud to work with the city of Fort Worth on a project that will help strengthen the region’s water infrastructure and support its long-term growth.”
Ferrovial’s subsidiary Webber will deliver the project, adding to its ongoing work improving water infrastructure in the state. The scope includes the construction of a new water reclamation facility featuring equalization and peak flow storage basins with mixing systems, preliminary treatment facilities with coarse and fine screening and grit removal, bioreactors and advanced wastewater treatment systems, solids handling systems, odor control facilities, and associated electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
The Mary’s Creek Water Reclamation Facility will significantly expand wastewater treatment capacity in western Fort Worth while providing a reliable source of reclaimed water for future industrial and irrigation use. Designed with advanced nutrient removal and membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology, the facility is expected to support the region’s continued growth, strengthen long-term water reliability, and enhance sustainability across the community. Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2026 and is expected to be completed by summer 2030.
