In the 21st century, for the first time in the history of humanity, more people will live in urban areas than in rural areas; the UN predicts that seven out of every ten people will be city dwellers by 2050. Consequently, the question arises as to whether these large cities will be able to structure citizens’ lives in an organized and sustainable way. According to experts, this change hinges on a technological transformation of our models of mobility.
