The Consorci Besòs Tordera (CBT) has awarded Cadagua the contract for operation and execution of replacements and improvements in the Caldes de Montbui, Sant Feliu de Codines, Sant Quirze Safaja, Santa Eulàlia de Ronçana, and Bigues i Riells sanitation systems for a duration of two years, plus a possible extension of two additional years. The total award amount is €3,958,000.
These five sanitation systems have a total of 80 km of manifolds running and 20 associated WWTPs to ensure treatment of about 9,000 m3 per day in the plant as a whole.
The technical proposal consisted of the commitment to implementing state-of-the-art technologies for optimizing energy efficiency and renewable energy generation.
In addition, the contract centers on carrying out R+D+i projects. This award positions Cadagua as a leader in wastewater treatment in Catalonia, where it manages 51 WTPs in all.
