Patricia Leiva has been appointed Director of Communication and Corporate Responsibility at Ferrovial, reporting directly to the Chairman, Rafael del Pino, and the CEO, Ignacio Madridejos. She will join the company on March 27, replacing Juan Francisco Polo, who, after thirteen years with the company, is leaving Ferrovial due to retirement. The new director will be in charge of external and internal communications, digital, CSR, institutional relations and the company’s brand. Polo will remain with the company for some time to ensure the transition.
Patricia Leiva, who until now held the position of director of Communication, Institutional Relations and Sustainability for Mahou San Miguel, has a degree in Communications from the Complutense University of Madrid and a PDD from the IESE Business School, with more than 20 years of experience. As a journalist, she worked at ABC, Cadena COPE and Europa Press, where she specialized in economic information. In corporate communications, she was head of External Communications and Media Relations at KPMG and executive vice president of Communications, Corporate Responsibility and Institutional Relations at ING DIRECT.
“The experience, profile and potential that Patricia brings to Ferrovial are the best guarantee for the company’s communication to respond to the new challenges and the need to maintain a reputation in line with the company’s trajectory, in its strategy of growing internationalization,” said Ignacio Madridejos, CEO. “I would like to thank Paco Polo for his professionalism and dedication during all these years at the helm of Ferrovial’s communication and reputation”.
