For the shareholders of Grupo Ferrovial and for the Ferrovial Agromán shareholders subscribing to the Public Offering of Exchange
The Board of Directors of Ferrovial Group has today agreed to distribute an interim dividend for business year 1999, amounting to gross Euros 0.10, equivalent to Ptas 16.63 per share.
This amount will be paid as from 10 January of the year 2000 and both the holders of shares currently constituting the capital of Grupo Ferrovial and all the Ferrovial Agromán shareholders who accept the Public Offering of Exchange formulated by Grupo Ferrovial and thus become holders of this companys new shares, will have the right to this dividend. The period for subscribing to this Offering ends on 27 November next.
More advantages for shareholders
The distribution of an interim dividend is one of the added values to which the Ferrovial Agromán shareholders who swap their shares for Grupo Ferrovial shares will opt. The Offering is aimed at 6.68% of the capital of Ferrovial Agromán and the swap equation is of 5 new Grupo Ferrovial shares for every 12 Ferrovial Agromán shares.
The Offering enables the shareholders of Ferrovial Agromán, which solely engages in businesses related to the construction sector, to replace their investment with an investment in Grupo Ferrovial, a group with a strong franchise in other areas of business: infrastructure concessions, real estate development, services and telecommunications.
Investing in the groups controlling company thus implies having a share in the profits of all the business conducted by Grupo Ferrovial, and not only in those related to construction, centralized at Ferrovial Agromán. The Grupo Ferrovial shares which trade on the Ibex 35- have greater trading capacity in the stock market, thus boosting the liquidity of the shareholders investment.
