Airbus closes agreement with Ferrovial Services for maintenance of their facilities in Spain

This new contract, which will run for a period of 5 years, covers maintenance of all electrical and mechanical systems, as well as all other equipment such as bridge cranes, hangar doors, fire protection and control and management systems. Ferrovial has to date been delivering maintenance services at Airbus Group plants in Getafe, Illescas and San Pablo. With this new contract, Ferrovial Services will take over maintenance responsibilities for all other Airbus Group facilities in Spain, namely Tablada, Albacete, Puerto Real, Puerto de Santa María and its main plant in Barajas (Madrid). With a staff of over 200 people, Ferrovial Services Spain will be using its dedicated operational efficiency methodology for industrial contracts, and services will be delivered based on the indicator management model.

Ferrovial Services and Airbus Group

Ferrovial Services Spain began working with Airbus Group in 1998 at its Getafe factory, with a maintenance contract for heating and air conditioning systems. This new contract for overall maintenance comes on top of smaller-scale contracts already in force since 2014 in all Airbus Group facilities, and the waste management services being delivered in Getafe, Barajas and Illescas since 2013. The new contract strengthens Ferrovial Services’ position as leader in service delivery for both the aeronautical and industrial sectors. With an annual turnover of over 100 million Euros, Ferrovial currently delivers services to major clients from the automotive and ancillary automotive industries, the food and beverages industries, laboratories and pharmaceutical companies, the consumer and capital goods sector, and the metallurgical industry, amongst others, in more than 60 factories throughout Spain.
