Ferrovial Services has acquired 100% of Grupo Maviva, a company specialised in value-added logistics, quality control and component pre-assembly for the automotive industry, by developing processes and methods with solutions tailored to clients' needs. This deal enables Ferrovial Services to expand its offering in the industrial services market and strengthens its position as an end-to-end service provider in this segment.
Founded in 1958, Grupo Maviva has 500 employees at 9 locations in Spain and one in Portugal. The company reported €21.3 million in revenues in 2016 and its customer portfolio includes such companies as PSA, Saint-Gobain, Delphi, Gestamp, Antolín and Continental.
Maviva will provide technical capabilities to penetrate the industry sector with value-added services, process engineering and operational excellence. The deal comes on top of the acquisitions made by Ferrovial Services in 2016: Siemsa, a company specialised in technical services for the energy, petrochemical and industrial sectors; and Biotrán, a specialist in end-to-end industrial waste management for the pharmaceutical industry.
Ferrovial Services currently has an extensive range of services for private sector clients, ranging from facility management through installation of analysis and control equipment to engineering and assembly of electricity, gas and water grids.
