11 employees from Ferrovial Corporation and Amey and 13 from Ferrovial Agroman UK participated in the team relay marathon that took place at the Heathrow Midnight Marathon at the airport’s northern runway.
Amey Strategic Consulting together with Ferrovial Corporation Innovation and Process, plus Ferrovial Agroman UK, decided they would not miss the very exciting Heathrow Midnight Marathon held on 17 June at Heathrow Airport. Each one of the participants of both teams ran a 3.5km leg at Heathrow’s northern runway. They completed this unique challenge together with another 26 teams from different departments at the airport as well as from other companies such as British Airways, Atkins, Balfour Beatty, or Vanderlande.
In the end, the team race was won by Heathrow’s Security Fast Track team with a total time of 03:14:27. It’s worth mentioning as well that there was an individual runner who smashed the record with a time of 11 minutes and 21 seconds.
This event, which brought together around 350 runners and 55 volunteers, has already raised more than £50,000 for Oxfam, Help for Heroes, Heathrow Community Fund and Hillingdon Autistic Care and Support
