Ferrovial Agroman talks about augmented reality in construction at the Digital Construction Week conference

Digital Construction Week was held in London on 18 and 19 October under the theme “Innovation in the Built Environment“. Ferrovial Agroman’s R&D Department participated in this important event as a member of the ACCEPT project, leading the workshop on new uses of augmented reality in the construction sector.

About Digital Construction Week

Digital Construction Week is a benchmark in the UK and Europe for digital construction, covering all stages of the process, from design to operation. The event hosted over 115 exhibitors, 100 speakers and close to 5 000 visitors.

Jesús Alonsosaid:

This event is not just a good opportunity to publicise the project we are working on; it also allows us to see many other compatible technologies with which to further enhance the results of our own research project“.

About the ACCEPT project

The ACCEPT project (Assistant for Quality Check during Construction Execution Processes of Energy-efficient buildings), consists in creating a multi-device technological platform aimed at minimising implementation errors during the works process, which will help achieve all the energy efficiency benefits offered by new construction materials and techniques.

ACCEPT is a project financed by the European Commission within the framework of the Horizon 2020 programme, and is the result of the cooperation of companies, universities and research centres in Spain (Ferrovial Agroman, CYPE and Answare), Cyprus (Epitessera Architects), Belgium (Jacques Delens and Lucid), the UK (Ingleton Wood), Holland (Tie Kinetix), Italy (Fraunhofer Italia) and Germany (Fraunhofer and Ascora).
