Ferrovial Services is participating as a Global Partner in the 2017 edition of the Smart City Expo World Congress, one of the leading forums on urban innovation on a global scale, held in Barcelona on 14, 15 and 16 November, under the theme 'Empower Cities. Empower People'. The Ferrovial Services Space (stand C323) will exhibit a selection of the most innovative urban initiatives implemented over 2017. Key amongst these are mobility projects such as the new ZITY carsharing service, developed jointly by Ferrovial Services and Renault and which will be operational in Madrid in December, and the Bicing 2.0 bike sharing service in Barcelona.
We will also be presenting new models for services provision, such as dynamic planning in urban waste collection to deliver a more efficient service, or the direct participation of citizens in public-private innovation programmes such as Citizentric, developed together with the Madrid City Council within the framework of street cleaning contracts.
