2017 saw Cintra’s Director of Corporate Affairs for the I-77 Express Lanes project, Jean Leier, take home the Infinity award at the 2017 Queen City PR awards.
The award honours a public relations professional committed wholeheartedly to their post, someone who conducts their work to the highest ethical standards, and a person who has accomplished significant achievements during their career.
PRSA Charlotte Chapter selected Leier for the award, of which she spoke of her honour in receiving.
“I am honored to be recognized by my peers for my work and service in the field of public relations,” she began. “It is a privilege to work for a company that knows the importance of strategic public relations in business and is committed to keeping cities moving in a responsible manner.”
Award winners show a keen interest in working with community organisations, often mentoring to offer their experience and expertise. Many show their commitment to the industry through their service to PRSA Charlotte and PRSA.
Leier worked on the team that helped make Charlotte’s first ever light rail a reality, as well as working on Charlotte’s light rail extension and streetcar lines. She joined the I-77 Mobility Partners in the Autumn of 2014 as Director of Corporate Affairs, where her roles include social responsibility and marketing management, as well as community, customer, media and government relations for the project.
