On April 19th, the President of the Spanish Government visited the South ring road of Albacete, which is being constructed by Ferrovial Agroman together with CHM Obras e Infraestructuras under the legal structure of a UTE (temporary consortium). The road project is being built for the State Company of Land Transport Infrastructure (SEITT) for more than 47 million Euros.
The ring road is a new highway that is more than 10 kilometres long. It has three junctions, one of which will connect with the N-322 towards Bailén, another with the access road CM-3203 south of the city, and the last will join the A-30 toward Madrid and Murcia. Completion is scheduled for 2020 and is part of the A-32, which will replace about 100 kilometres of National Highway N-322.
The project will include 16 structures, 32 drainage works, signalling, beaconing, safety barriers and restoration of affected services.
Mariano Rajoy was accompanied by the Administration Minister of Public Works, Íñigo de la Serna; Defense Minister, María Dolores Cospedal; the Mayor of Albacete, Manuel Serrano; the General Director of Highways, Jorge Urrecho; Head of the State Roads Delegation of Castilla-La Mancha, Javier González Cabezas; and the Construction Site Director, Santiago García.
On behalf of Ferrovial Agroman, the visit was attended by Juan Lozano, Director of Civil Works, and the Manager of the UTE, Ángel Mirón, among others.
