Once again, Ferrovial Agroman participated in Expodrónica this year, a professional fair on using of drones and artificial intelligence. The event was held on June 27 and 28 at Ifema.
Luis Moratinos, from the Technical Directorate at Ferrovial Agroman and on behalf of the company, was in charge of presenting the group’s vision at the discussion panel on URBAN AIR MOBILITY & BVLOS that brought together experts from Ferrovial Agroman, Aerosolutions, and Gesdron.
The session aimed to define services, uses, and applications that are currently offered, moving them from the 2D plane to 3D with the help of drones, understood as robotic platforms that may or may not fly.
“Drones and artificial intelligence have revolutionized the development and maintenance of infrastructures, as well as the projects carried out at companies like Ferrovial Agroman. Since 2013, we’ve relied on these technologies for design as well as monitoring of the work,” says Luis Moratinos.
Other sessions at the fair dealt with new European regulations on drones, UTM/U-Space, risks and opportunities related to using drones, blockchain, AI integration for data analysis, sensor systems, and humanitarian UAS.
The event’s organization also presented four success stories that were carried out during the last year by specialized companies: Tecnitop, Aerotools, Cegadrone, and Atyges, which focused their presentations on advances in technology and legal applications in the current year. Some of the cases presented were under group contracts, once again demonstrating involvement with innovation incorporated into best practices and the firm commitment to bringing value to our clients.
