After more than three years of hard work, the team at Heathrow Q6 hit another milestone by safely delivering one of the airport’s most challenging projects to date.
The Bravo team can be proud of themselves: the massive double-deck Airbus A380 aircrafts are now able to taxi along Europe’s busiest airport’s brand new infrastructure. The project involved reconfiguring 7 new stands, replacing 1 air bridge, demolishing Pier 4 at Terminal 1, constructing 800m of taxiway, and rehabilitating 1,500m on 24/7 possession and another 550m on night possession. If you are wondering how much material was used, here are the astonishing figures: 23,000tn of asphalt and 40,000m3 of concrete were laid. The project was delivered thanks to 1.7M hours worked and after 734 safe days.
