Ferrovial, a global leader in infrastructure solutions, is presenting the panel, “The Highway is Calling and Your Car is Answering” at South by Southwest (SXSW) 2023 in Austin, Texas.
The panel, set for March 10 as part of the 2023 SXSW Startups Track, will examine how connectivity is impacting mobility and, particularly, how real-time “conversations” between vehicles and roadways can change ground travel forever. With the emergence of connected and autonomous vehicles, the panelists will discuss the growing opportunity to accelerate the adoption of technology on our roads, making them smarter, safer, and more efficient for everyone.
Pablo Ferrando, Head of Innovation and Revenue Research at Cintra, will be joined by Jessica Robinson, Co-Founder and Partner at Assembly Ventures. The panel will be moderated by Elizabeth McGee, Public Sector Chief Strategy and Innovation Advisor at Intel.
“Smart highways have been a topic of conversation for more than two decades, We’re excited to discuss with other experts how far the technology has advanced and what opportunities lie ahead in our go to market strategy in the U.S. and globally.”
Ferrovial, through its Cintra subsidiary, has been using new technology to reimagine our highways for the future. The company began working on the AIVIA Smart Roads Initiative in 2017.
