Amey Consulting: A new brand to boost the asset management business

Amey has recently launched a sub-brand, Amey Consulting, with the aim of boosting the asset management business in the UK and in the other geographies where Ferrovial Services operates. This new sub-brand has been developed to enable Amey Consulting to compete more effectively in a highly competitive market, and improve market understanding of the scope and scale of the consulting business.

Speaking recently, Andy Milner, Amey CEO commented that:

“We need to gain greater traction of our capability in the Consulting market. We’re launching a new external brand and positioning for Amey Consulting to push the Amey Consulting story more strongly externally, while it will still remain a key member of the Amey family. This will help us achieve greater sales and market share.”

The creation of the Amey Consulting brand will help to differentiate its asset management capabilities in the market. Amey Consulting is positioned as ‘Practical Consulting’ in recognition of the strong connection between the consulting and operational delivery areas of the business.”

Amey Consulting drives value across an array of asset portfolios including: road, rail, utilities, buildings and airports encompasses a wide range of technical capabilities such as:

  • Infrastructure strategy, data and analytics
  • Asset management and asset engineering
  • Infrastructure systems design and delivery
  • Civil engineering design and delivery
  • Structures design and delivery
  • Planning and advisory services
  • Programme management
  • Property and estates
  • Environmental and geotechnical services

Amey Consulting works both with Amey clients such as Network Rail and Highways England, and also has a portfolio of clients outside the Amey operational business. Amey Consulting also manages the international client portfolio for Amey, in Australia and North America.  Key international projects include the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) enterprise-wide asset management programme for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in America and Melbourne’s Western Roads Upgrade project.
