- The plant has the capacity to treat an average daily flow of 50.000 m3/day and will serve an equivalent population of 310.000 inhabitants
- This project is commited to environmental sustainability and minimizing the discharge into the sea
On September 24th, Cadagua delivered to the Client Oman Wastewater Services Company (Haya Water) the Wastewater Treatment Plante (WWTP) of Darsait located in Muscat, Oman.
The plant has the capacity to treat an average daily flow of 50.000 m3/day and will serve an equivalent population of 310.000 inhabitants. The Darsait WWTP incorporates Membrane Bioreactor Technology (MBR) of which Cadagua has extensive experience with a total of 9 MBR treatment plants with a total flow of 154.000 m3/d.
The Plant designed by Cadagua allows the treated effluent to be reused in the City´s irrigation network, in a clear commitment to the environmental sustainability of the installation, minimizing the discharge into the sea. For the non-reused treated water flow, phosphorus is removed by chemical precipitation.
The plant incorporates two electrical substations for transforming the power supply to low voltage as well as emergency generators and a distributed central control system (DCS).
Since the project site is within the urban core of the city, most of La Plant is built within buildings with local architectural details in order to minimize its visual impact. For this same reason, it incorporates a chemical odor treatment system by chemical washing that minimizes the potential impact of odors on the plant environment.
