On last Wednesday, March 11, Cadagua participated in the Meetings on Technological Innovation and Water Development in the Canary Islands, held by the Canary Islands Government’s Directorate General for Territorial Planning, Ecological Transition, and Water.
For the occasion, Alicia Gomez of the R&D&I Department presented the advances and results from the Biosec® sewage sludge gasification process.
Circular economy is one of the pillars of Cadagua’s strategic R&D&I plan, and within this general concept, the value of purifying sludge, and their relevance in future legislation that will clearly be more restrictive are priority goals. In this regard, Cadagua has extensive experience in the sludge gasification process with its Biosec® Gasification technology.
Energy assessment of sludge by obtaining a thermally usable synthetic gas and reducing the end byproduct, while obtaining a total inertization of the sludge, are the main advantages this technology offers. At later innovation meetings, we will present the advances we have made in detecting and treating Contaminants of Emerging Concern and antibiotic-resistant bacteria, among other subjects.
