Ferrovial Services will be responsible of the renovation of the thermic and refrigeration centrals’ equipment of the Principe de Asturias University Hospital of Alcalá de Henares. The contract includes an investment of 3,2 million of euros in works and improvements of the hospital installations, such as the complementary intervention to reduce the energy consumption.
The complex of Alcalá will save more than 12,5 million of euros during the 15 years of the contract validity which will entered into force the next month of October. Thanks to the efficient management of primary sources that Ferrovial Services will realize, and additionally to this committed saving, a savings share exists between the Hospital and Ferrovial Services which unites them in a compromise of good practices and energy efficiency.
With this new integral energy management contract, the Príncipe de Asturias Hospital incorporates the Energy Efficiency Plan designed and developed by the General Direction of Economic Management of Sermas, being the first project that it is awarded and therefore, pioneer in the Community of Madrid.
This award is added to other important contracts that Ferrovial Services has achieved in the Health Sector such as the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital.
