FBSerwis, a Polish subsidiary of Ferrovial Services, has signed two contracts with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Katowice Branch, for the maintenance of 92 kilometers of the A1 motorway in the region of Silesia in the south of Poland. The 6-year contract is worth 167.2 million PLN (€39.3 million).
The contracts cover a year-round service of end-to-end maintenance of the A1 motorway and its infrastructure along a section from Pyrzowice junction to Gorzyczki at the border with the Czech Republic. One of the contracts signed covers the same section of the A1 motorway that was maintained by the company throughout the previous 6 years. In Silesia, FBSerwis provides road maintenance services for the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways in the regions of Wysoki Brzeg and Zabrze. Apart from road maintenance projects, the company carries out a contract for improving public street lighting system in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
Maintenance of Transport Infrastructure in Poland
FBSerwis is a leading provider of integrated services for transport infrastructure, maintaining over 1,300 km of expressways and national roads in Poland. The services encompass the 24-hour service of preventive and corrective maintenance (including winter maintenance), emergency repair, and upgrading. Mos projects are carried out on either measurement based or “keep standard” contracts.
