The Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) hosted InnoUAM_EconomíaCircular, an event showcasing the latest developments in the reusage of waste from researchers at the university. Ferrovial Services was among the many organizations that participated in the event.
Vicente Galván, director of the Ferrovial Services Center of Excellence for Environment, attended the event, which served as a meeting place for researchers, companies and investors to share solutions that guarantee attainment of Sustainable Development Goal 12 (responsible consumption and production).
Galván spoke about the circular economy projects being undertaken by Ferrovial Services and the Center of Excellence for Environment.
Also, in attendance were representatives of such companies as Urbaser, Natac and Ecolec, as well as researchers from UAM, such as Javier Beneyas, professor in the Department of Ecology, who described the progress being made by the university in terms of the circular economy. The event evidenced that the university is committed not only to innovation and transfer but also to a sustainable society.
