Ferrovial Services has, together with the Town Council of Murcia, presented its new fleet of 21 street cleaning and waste management vehicles. The new equipment was selected based on criteria of sustainability, efficiency and enhanced technical quality.
The new fleet includes the latest technology available on the European market: flushing cleaners with GPS, improving safety, efficiency and sustainability; a hydro cleaner using clean energy and providing a silent electrical cleaner which allows water savings of 50%; sweepers with an innovative system for recirculating air which reduces noise emissions, saves water and reduces dust generation by 95%, or collectors running on biodiesel.
Other machines have been included, such as vehicles fitted with infrared cameras and a design allowing access to narrow streets, automated systems, soundproofing technology through noise absorbing panels and automatic regulation of engine revolutions to reduce noise and vibrations, amongst other innovations.
