The Portuguese company will provide maintenance services at the Galp refinery in Sines, and in the faculties of the European University.
Ferrovial Serviços, the Portuguese subsidiary of Ferrovial Services, has been awarded two new Facility Management contracts: a 4-year contract with the oil company Galp, and a 3-year contract with the Universidade Europeia.
The company will provide maintenance services for Galp at its Sines refinery over the coming 4 years. The contract covers preventive and corrective management of the climate control systems, including the offices and production areas. Maintenance of the substation refrigeration network, as well as the thermostatic baths, will also be carried out.
Galp Energy’s Sines plant is one of the largest in Europe. It is a strategic industrial unit which is of vital importance for Portugal’s economic activity. It has a distilling capacity of 10.9 million tonnes per year, or 220,000 barrels per day. The facility, which commenced operations 40 years ago, serves two thirds of the Portuguese market and is one of the country’s largest exporters of oil products.
