Ferrovial’s Climate Change Strategy 2018 Is Now Available

In 2018, Ferrovial participated in COP 24 de Katowice, Poland, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, where the need to act immediately to prevent reaching an irreversible stage was stressed. To this end, Ferrovial is working to reduce emissions and to provide its customers and users with solutions for working toward a low-carbon economy.

In this report, climate change is addressed across the board of the company, following the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

The document describes the changes in energy consumption, emissions, and compliance with the reduction targets established. This data has been verified in accordance with ISAE 3410 “International Standard Assurance Engagements on Greenhouse Gas Statements” by PwC. It also identifies the opportunities related to climate change in areas such as mobility, circular economy, and energy efficiency in the field of construction/building.
