Ferrovial Services has been awarded a contract by the South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT), to provide catering, cleaning, goods transport and security services at hospitals in the cities of Warwick and Stratford, both for common areas and intensive care units.
The contract, which begins in February and runs until 2019, is worth 29 million euro (24 million pounds), and is the first to be awarded via the London Procurement Programme (LPP), which offers companies the opportunity to bid for various national health service (NHS) contracts.
Amey was delighted to have been selected by the SWFT, with the CEO, Mel Ewell, stating "Ensuring such an important environment is kept safe and clean is essential for employees, patients and members of the public and we will work closely with SWFT, drawing on our experience in providing managed services in a healthcare environment, to deliver this".
This contract further strengthens the standing of Ferrovial Services as one of the leading public service providers in the United Kingdom, currently providing the NHS with services that include building maintenance, cleaning, renovations and patient transport services for the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation.
