Ferrovial Services to advise Qatar authorities on managing and upgrading the national road network

Ferrovial Services subsidiary Amey has been awarded a 5-year contract to provide consulting services to the Qatar Public Works Authority on operating, maintaining and upgrading the country’s road network. This project is part of the Qatari government’s infrastructure upgrade plan.

Amey, the UK subsidiary of Ferrovial Services, has been awarded a contract by Ashghal, the Qatar Public Works Authority, to provide consulting services on managing and upgrading the country’s road network.

Ashghal is responsible for the planning, design, construction and management of Qatar’s road infrastructure. Ferrovial Services will provide consulting services with a view to improving policies, processes and procedures related to road operation and maintenance, customer service and financial management, among others.

Thirty engineers from Ferrovial Services will travel to Qatar to join a team of more than 150 Qatari professionals responsible for road management and maintenance. The company will also advise on the creation of a new Road Asset Management System to increase efficiency and improve maintenance services throughout the road network.
