Cintra further strengthens its car park business in Portugal
Cintra, a subsidiary of the Ferrovial Group, the leader in transport infrastructure concessions (motorways, car parks, airports, etc.) has started work on a 350-space rotation car park in Plaza de Cameons, in Lisbon. The car park involves an investment of Escudos 850 million (Ptas 700 million) and is to be completed in 14 months. This is a further step towards consolidating the activity of Cintras Parking Division in Portugal.
In coming months this project will be completed with the construction work on another three rotation car parks in Lisbon, with a total of 640 spaces. Cintra currently runs the concession of nine car parks in Lisbon five of them already in service- with a total of 3,400 spaces.
Remodeling plan in Madrid
Through its subsidiary Ferrovial Aparcamientos, Cintra has completed the work contemplated in the Remodeling Plan for its car parks in Madrid, a project involving an investment of Ptas 1 billion; the car parks now have new modern ventilation systems, closed circuit television, surveillance, megaphony, piped music, mobile telephony coverage and vending services. Moreover, Cintra has included all its Madrid car parks in the “Network Pass” system
Cintras Parking Division currently manages over 115,000 spaces and, with forecast revenues in excess of Ptas 10 billion this year, it is strengthening its leading position in the car park sector in Spain, Portugal and Puerto Rico.
