Dornier awarded 2,225 new spaces in Blue Zone in Madrid, Barcelona and Burgos
Dornier, the firm in the Ferrovial Group that centralises the above ground regulated parking space activity, has obtained the award, in the first quarter of the year, of four new concessions of the service to control and regulate parking through ticket issuing appliances in the streets (Blue Zone). The total number of spaces amounts to 2,225, in addition to the more than 45,000 spaces the company has in the main cities in Spain.
Dornier and Reinrod will manage these Blue Zone contracts in San Lorenzo del Escorial, in Madrid; the Viladecans and Sitges districts in Barcelona; and that of Aranda de Duero, in Burgos, for a concession term ranging from five to ten years.
Leaders in the parking lot business
The Ferrovial Group has one of its strategic lines in the parking lot area. Through the recent awards, the Group has reinforced its parking lot promotion area, which it fully leads, consolidating its presence with a total of 77,000 spaces in the three main segments: parking for residents, through Ferrovial Aparcamientos; rotation parking, through ESSA (22,000 spaces) and the above ground regulated spaces (Blue Zone) through Dornier and Reinrod (45,000 spaces).
