The Board of Directors of Grupo Ferrovial today resolved to appoint Santiago Eguidazu Mayor as director of the company for a three-year term.
Santiago Eguidazu joins Grupo Ferrovial as an independent director; his appointment will be submitted for ratification to the next Shareholders' Meeting of Grupo Ferrovial.
Aged 44, Santiago Eguidazu has a degree in Economics and Business Administration and is qualified as a Foreign Trade Expert and Economist in the Spanish Administration.
Until December 2000, Eguidazu was Vice-President at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, S.V., S.A.; previous positions include Partner, Managing Director and Vice-President at AB Asesores Group, Subdirector General of Instituto de Comercio Exterior (ICEX) and Technical General Secretary at Spain's Ministry of Industry and Energy.
Santiago Eguidazu is also the author of "Creación de Valor y Gobierno de la Empresa" (Value Creation and Corporate Governance).
