The first transport infrastructure development and management companies to implement a quality system certified by AENOR
Ferrovial Infraestructuras – Ferrovial´s transport infrastructure concessions company – and Cintra – the toll road concessions specialist – were awarded the Certificate of Registered Companies by AENOR (Spain´s national standards body), which guarantees all their activities comply with UNE-EN ISO 9001:2000 standard.
The certification covers the identification of opportunities and preparation of tenders for transport infrastructure (financial analysis, traffic studies, operation and maintenance, toll plaza design, toll system design management, and control of traffic and infrastructures). These certificates give Ferrovial Infraestructuras and Cintra the right to use the AENOR Registered Company symbol with the numbers ER-1477/2002 and ER-1480/2002, respectively.
Quality has always been an issue in all of Ferrovial´s activities, and all Group companies stay up to date with trends in quality as applied to business management. These certificates also endorse the quality policy implemented by Ferrovial´s concessions area; Cintra Aparcamientos and subsidiaries Dornier and Femet already have their quality certified for the design, promotion and operation of off-street, residential and on-street parking, vehicle tow-away and impoundment, and for the distribution and maintenance of parking meters.
