Ferrovial Inmobiliaria has started four new residential developments in Benalmádena Costa in the province of Malaga, with an investment of over Ptas 3.5 billion. The new developments are called Costaquebrada I and II, Palmaquebrada and Brisaquebrada and will have a total of 240 homes. Initial building work has just started on the project, which also includes the construction of a stretch of promenade in Benalmádena.
Investments of Ptas 10 billion and over 1000 homes
Under the name of Urbanización Nueva Torrequebrada, in the middle of 1997 Ferrovial Inmobiliaria started some hundred homes in the Bahíaquebrada, Peñaquebrada and Vistaquebrada developments. The last stage of these(Vistaquebrada) is to be delivered in the next three months.
“This year around 200 hundred homes will be delivered and, between 2001 and 2002, the entire estate will be occupied,” says Alejandro Uriarte, Assistant General Manager of Ferrovial Inmobiliaria. “By then, Ferrovial Inmobiliaria will have invested over Ptas 10 billion and will have delivered over 1000 homes and plots for houses, together with facilities and shopping areas that will complete the estate.”
The last houses to be built in this project will start to be developed in the course of this year and will consist of over 400 homes constructed in several stages.
Apartments and plots for houses, next to green areas and leisure facilities
In Urbanización Nueva Torrequebrada, Ferrovial Inmobiliaria is developing a wide range of products that go from plots to 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom apartments, with green areas and leisure facilities “in a privileged spot, near the sea, the mountains and the golf course and only 10 minutes from Malaga International Airport.” For three years now, Ferrovial Inmobiliaria has been working on the development of the area known as Torrequebrada, where a hotel of the same name and one of the best golf courses in Europe are situated. “Benalmádena, 20 km from Malaga, between Torremolinos and Fuengirola,” concludes Uriarte, “is one of the most prosperous fastest-growing towns on the Costa del Sol.”
In Malaga, Ferrovial Inmobiliaria has already delivered the 350 homes at La Concha, Marbella and is currently working on another three developments in the city center: Salitre 10 and 23 and Los Verdiales.
