The company's goal is for this new blog, www.infraestructurasinteligentes.com, to become a key source of information in the transport infrastructure and services sector. Experts in infrastructure development and funding, mobility and sustainable construction, innovation, and the environment provide their perspectives on the principal challenges facing cities of the future.
Ferrovial has launched a blog on intelligent infrastructure, Infraestructuras Inteligentes, with a view to creating a space for sharing innovative ideas and best practices on designing, building, funding, and operating transport infrastructure and services.
Intelligent infrastructure uses technology and value-added services to improve citizens' living standards in a sustainable way; it will be the main focus of Ferrovial's latest venture into communication 2.0, including hooks into Twitter and Facebook. Company experts will analyze the challenges related to mobility, sustainable construction and living in cities from different points of view, considering the impact on society, business and citizens. The first posts focus on questions such as management of increasingly populated cities, optimization of resources while maintaining quality, and cooperation between public and private bodies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Juan Francisco Polo, Head of Communication and Corporate Responsibility at Ferrovial: "We created this blog as part of the strategy to strengthen Ferrovial's presence online and to reinforce its position as a leader in infrastructure and services. The goal is for this blog to become a leading reference point for experts while also fostering dialogue between the company, on the one hand, and both experts and the public at large, on the other."
Ferrovial also actively uses other social media, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and SlideShare.
