Amey, a subsidiary of Ferrovial Services, has been awarded two contracts by UK company Severn Trent Water, worth 100 million pounds in total (close to 123 million euro).  Under the first contract, which is for three years with a possible three-year extension, Amey will install, repair and maintain the company's water meter network. Amey has also been appointed as the design and build partner to provide developer services, including new connections and meters and the design and construction of new water mains. These contracts enable Amey to strengthen its relationship with Severn Trent. Previously, Amey was awarded a 190 million pound (227 million euro) contract to maintain and refurbish the company's drinking water mains in the English Midlands and in Mid-Wales. In recent months, Amey has strengthened its presence in the UK services sector through contracts with Scottish Water, United Utilities, Welsh Water and Northern Gas.
