Ferrovial awarded a water infrastructure contract in the UK worth 341 million euro

Ferrovial, through its subsidiary Amey, will deliver the maintenance of the water company Severn Trent’s sewer network. The contract will last until March 2021 and is worth 250 million pounds, around 341 million euro. Since 2011, Ferrovial Services’ subsidiary manages the maintenance of one of the three areas in which Severn Trent divides its sewer network, which covers parts of Wales and Midlands. Through this contract, since next June 1, it will also manage the other two areas. This project strengthens Amey’s relation with Severn Trent, for which already provides services such as the renewal of water meters or the maintenance and reparation of drinking water pipelines. In the water sector, Amey provides the maintenance, reparation and detection of water leakage, the installation of meters and the maintenance of reservoirs, storage tanks and pumping stations. Over 33 million clients benefit from this services.
