The new service will provide coverage for about 5,000 users in the region.
Ferrovial Services, in a temporary joint venture with the company Sanivida, has been awarded the first contract for “Home teleassistance” in the Community of Madrid that will come into effect on October 1 for the sum of €2.77 million. The new service will be available in the outskirts of the region for three years, and it is estimated that 5,000 individuals will be served.
The teleassistance service is based on an advanced technological solution that uses information and telecommunications systems installed in the user’s home. At the same time, it is connected to a telephone line that allows the user to contact a specialized person easily 24 hours a day. Additionally, complementary devices that increase home security are installed, such as fall detection devices and smoke detectors. Furthermore, the service includes other perks such as users’ geolocation and telemedicine.
The recent contract marks Ferrovial Services’ consolidation into the field of health services, in which the company has more than five years experience. The objective of social services is to improve the lives of people every day through close, adapted services that allow them to improve their conditions of security and company in daily life, and to improve their independence and integration in their environment.
