Cintra has increased its stake in the R-4 toll road (Madrid) by acquiring another 10% of Inversora de Autopistas del Sur, S.L., the sole shareholder of Autopista Madrid Sur Concesionaria Española, S.A. The seller is Montes de Piedad y Caja de Ahorros de Ronda, Cádiz, Almería, Málaga y Antequera (UNICAJA) and the acquisition price was 54,929,990 euro. This acquisition increases Cintras direct stake in Inversora de Autopitas del Sur, S.L. to 55%.
Autopista Madrid Sur Concesionaria Española, S.A. holds the administrative concession to build, maintain and operate the R-4 toll road, from Madrid to Ocaña, the M-50-Ocaña section, the Madrid M-50 ring road, between National Road IV and National Road II, the southeast section, between the M-40 and the M-50, and the extension of the road connecting National Road II with the eastern junction, plus work to improve the M-50, between the M-409 and the N-IV, under Royal Decree 3540/2000, of 29 December, which awarded that concession to it.
