Ferrovial Agroman subsidiary Ditecpesa has begun supplying asphalt products, specifically bitumen, to the A-8 (the Belfast-Larne Dualling project), one of Northern Ireland’s main toll roads. The company will supply 12,000 metric tonnes of bitumen to build the toll road, in line with its policy to internationalise innovative services and solutions. This project represents a milestone for the company, as it is its first contract in Northern Ireland.
Ditecpesa, a subsidiary of our construction subsidiary, is involved in the development, production and distribution of asphalt products. It sells 75,000 MT of asphalt products per year, of which 15% are special products manufactured in its own plants.
Ditecpesa’s main assets include bitumen storage terminals in the ports of Alicante and Gijón, and three mobile plants: two for producing modified bitumen and one for emulsions.
The company also has a new industrial services business line for end-to-end management of asphalt product facilities, which covers from planning and management through to operation and maintenance.
