The restoration of the Capilla de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, of Paso Blanco in Spain, has received a regional award given by the Ministry of Development, the College of Architects of Murcia (COAMU ) and Cajamurcia Foundation in recognition of the quality of the work carried out after the earthquakes.
The refurbishment took place in the Region of Murcia after the earthquake of 11 May 2011. The city and the General Directorate of Heritage contacted Ferrovial Agroman and the architect Juan Carlos Cartagena Sevilla to work on both the analysis of structural damage materials and the recovery of Santo Domingo's monumental set.
This award highlights the remarkable sustainable and innovative values, the desire for conservation and rehabilitation of historic and artistic heritage of the region and recognizes the rehabilitation construction techniques and materials used for the reconstruction and restoration of the dome.
