Maintenance of the PSA Peugeot Citroën factory in Vigo

The contract, which came into force last 1st April, provides for the maintenance of assets, buildings, loading docks, and heating and air conditioning systems. Given the weather conditions in the region, one of the critical elements of the service is the maintenance of the roofs of the buildings, which must always be kept in optimal conditions so as not no negatively affect production.

This factory in Galicia, one of the two operated by the PSA Group in Spain, has more than 660,000 m22 and an annual vehicle production of more than 400,000 units.

This project is Ferrovial Services’ first award with PSA Peugeot Citroën in Spain, although the company has worked previously at the PSA Group factory in Mangualde, Portugal.

Improved operational efficiency in industrial contracts

With the aim of ensuring maximum operational efficiency, Ferrovial Services will implement in this new contract its industrial maintenance management model, applying the LEAN methodology developed by the Centre of Excellence for Infrastructure.
