The International Fair of Environmental Solutions (Ecofira) has recognised the innovative capacity of the company’s Centres of Excellence for Cities and the Environment.
Ferrovial Services recently took part in the International Fair for Environmental Solutions (Ecofira), a meeting point where companies and public institutions present the latest advances in environmental management: from waste collection, transport and treatment to value-adding, recycling and disposal.
Over 58 companies working in this sector were present at the fair, including waste treatment companies, municipal services, laboratories, universities or technology companies, amongst others.
The event was held over two days and provided an opportunity to showcase the most innovative technological solutions currently being developed. It was a platform for debate on the latest developments in waste management and sustainability, focusing on issues such as use of waste and subproducts for creating new materials, our carbon footprint, or the circular economy.
Ecofira provided Ferrovial Services with the opportunity to showcase essential features of its environmental management and waste treatment activities, as well as the services it provides in cities and infrastructures.
Ferrovial Services receives an award for its commitment to innovation
In the framework of this event, Elena Cebrián, the local minister for Agriculture, Environment, Climate Change and Rural Development of the Valencian Community, presented Ferrovial Services with the 2016 Innovation Award for the initiatives being rolled out through its Centres of Excellence for Cities and the Environment.
