P3 Conference 2017
The
annual P3C (Public-Private Partnership Conference and Expo) was held this year from February 27
th – March 1
st at the downtown
Sheraton Hotel in Dallas, Texas. More than
1,300 people from 10 different countries were in attendance.
Ferrovial Agroman and
Cintra were both diamond level sponsors for the three day P3 conference.
The conference is designed to help visitors
explore alternative delivery methods, plan
successful initiatives, learn about negotiating with prospective industry partners and the steps that lead to project success.
This year, over
100 industry leaders were able to provide their firsthand observations of various P3 projects from around the country. There were also several round table discussions for public sector audience members who wanted to discuss a variety of specific issues.

On the first morning of the conference The
LBJ Express team gave a selected number of attendees the opportunity to experience the project firsthand through a
free, two-hour bus tour along
Interstates 635 and 35E and Loop 12, which was completed in September 2015. The tour also stopped at the
LBJ Express operations centre, giving attendees the unique opportunity to view the technology behind the 13-mile P3 project.
On the final day of the conference, Alberto Gonzalez, CEO of the LBJ Express and
North Tarrant Express, participated as a panelist in a session entitled,
"P3 Fact Check – For Big Infrastructure Projects: Is Government Debt Really Cheaper?" and was able to provide his expertise with the
LBJ Express and North Tarrant Express projects in North Texas.
Overall, the P3C Conference was a huge success. Near 100 people stopped at the Cintra and Ferrovial Agroman exhibit table to ask questions and inquire about the projects. This networking event provided
key information to an international audience interested in public-private partnerships and opened the door for more business relationships and opportunities in the future.
