The I Congress on technological innovation applied to construction equipment took place on Thursday, 22 March 2018 in Zaragoza.
The event, organised by the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Construction, Public Works and Mining Equipment (ANMOPYC) and the Technological Institute of Aragón (ITAINNOVA), seeks to become the leading annual gathering in Spain’s construction equipment and machinery industry.
Issues discussed were how construction equipment should evolve technologically in the coming years to address the challenges emerging within the sector. A detailed debate was also held on real-life experience regarding the application of technologies such as virtual and augmented reality, automation, the Internet of Things, Big Data and data analysis, with a view to learning about the potential of such technologies for the construction equipment sector.
Ferrovial Agroman’s R&D department was represented at the event by Antonio García, Project Manager, who gave a talk on Virtualisation on construction sites, with examples of activities carried out by the company in this area and the interests of the construction sector in such systems in the future.
Participation in this event is considered an excellent opportunity to share ideas with the leading manufacturers of construction equipment regarding future prospects for the sector, the interests of building companies, and developments to be expected in the short and medium term for use in our own building projects.
