Cadagua, in a temporary joint venture with Africana Contratas y Construcciones S.L., has signed the contract for operation and maintenance for a period of 4 years and one optional year at the WWTP in the Autonomous City of Ceuta.
The facility treats a wastewater flow of 20,000 m3/day from the autonomous city. The wastewater is pumped from the San Amaro wastewater Pumping Station, which is also managed by the joint venture.
The plant has a conventional treatment that includes anaerobic digestion, thermal sludge drying at low temperatures, and tertiary wastewater treatment.
In addition to O&M for the pumping station and the WWTP, the contract includes carrying out a set of improvements at both facilities.
With this contract, Cadagua is reinforcing its presence in the integral water cycle operation in the autonomous city of Ceuta, where it already holds the O&M contract for the city’s desalination plant.
